Overwater Hall Hotel

What an incredible experience. Overwater Hall shouldn’t just be considered a simple hotel stay or restaurant, from the moment I walked I it felt like I’d been transported into an old-world country stay. The staff are fantastic, so helpful and the rooms are gorgeous, if you love country homes, bridgerton and The Crown, you’ll love this! And the food, I’m lost for words. Genuinely the best meal I’ve eaten at a restaurant.

Fantastic place run by a very professional team from front of house to the waiting staff. It was a pleasure to stay at lovely hotel. The food is on a different level, the service is second to none. We will definitely return and recommend this wonderful place in the lake District.

The most special break away from the hustle and bustle. The location is perfect, such a peaceful and picturesque setting. It’s a real time out from the world as everything is so still and there’s no phone signal which adds to the experience! The hotel is comfortable, intimate and classic. The owners and staff are very friendly and make your stay so personal and welcoming. The service is impeccable, fine dining meets casual setting. The food is out of this world and takes the stay to the next level. Some of the best food I’ve eaten in my life. Each plate is delicately and beautifully put together. This is a special place to us so and given us unforgettable memories.

Wonderful place to stay in the Lakes! Beautiful building and grounds.The owners were welcoming and really laid out a first class service and experience. Breakfast was amazing and wish we could have made it to dinner but was fully booked. Will have to come back again! :)

Spent a Sunday night with wifey & doggy. Food was brilliant, service second to none. Lovely location away from towns/villages, nice gardens to take dog for a walk - will try 2 nights next time.

Overwater Hall does not fail to disappoint as a culinary destination. This was a return visit for an anniversary dinner, and the cookery continues to be of such a high standard. Can highly recommend the lamb salad starter and beef fillet for main course. The chocolate dessert selection is the best I have ever had. Three courses were a fixed price of £65. Service and ambience were excellent. This restaurant should not be missed off any visit to the Lakes.

We had a wonderfull time at Overwater Hall Hotel. We loved the atmosphere at all the rooms we entered: the lounge, the bar, the dining room, the stairs... We dined 2 evenings and both diners were superb. A big compliment for the owners and the staff. We felt verry welcome.

Excellent and friendly service. Dogs are welcome, but obviously not in the dining room, a table will be set up in the bar if the dog is with you at dinner. The bar is very nice too, the dining room is lovely. Home made liqueurs and home made shortbread in the room is a nice touch, and very tasty. Highly recommended. We will be back for more.
